We are putting the final touches to our programme for Friday 8th of November. It is a remembrance concert but it is not without its fireworks. We have a beautiful arrangement of Auld Lang Syne and Last Post and also music from Band of Brothers, Lawrence of Arabia and Independence Day. The baritone part of The Armed Man Benedictus is not very exciting but the euphonium is fabulous.
It is eight weeks until our next concert. It is in Derby Cathedral and we will be joined by the Nottingham Military Wives Choir. All our cathedral concerts have been a sellout so don’t forget to book your tickets very soon if you have not got them yet.
We are getting down to some serious practice for our remembrance concert in November. Simon is passionate about getting the best out of the band and from the musical arrangements that we play.![]()
More than half the tickets have already been sold and dare I say we will be awash with VIPs coming to hear the music from the band and the Nottingham Military Wives Choir. The choir is directed by our own Lizzie Dennis. ![]()

The doors open at 7pm, and the concert will start at 7.30pm. Our front-of-house team will have a list of everyone who has bought a ticket via TicketSource, so all you need to do is give them the name of the person who bought your ticket when you arrive; there’s no need to print off your tickets!![]()
